A group of 13 middle and high school teachers involved in the School of Dialogue program was invited by the Forum to take part in a study visit to Berlin, on November 10th-14th. The seminar continued collaboration between the Forum and the House of the Wannsee Conference, a Holocaust memorial and educational site in Berlin.

The program included lectures, workshops and site visits dedicated to Holocaust education and remembrance. Participating teachers discussed and compared the situation in Poland and in Germany before, during and after WWII, they also talked about the difficulties they face while teaching about the Jewish history and the Holocaust as well as exchanged successful stories and practices. The intense 3-day seminar included guided tours at the Jewish Museum Berlin, exhibition “Topography of Terror”, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the House of Wannsee Conference itself.

The study trip enabled to create a space for exchange of experience and networking between teachers from Warsaw and former shtetls across Poland, cooperating with the Forum in the School of Dialogue program.
