In September, a group of eight Polish leaders of public opinion visited United States in the frame of the Polish-Jewish Exchange Program organized by the Forum for Dialogue Among Nations in partnership with the American Jewish Committee. During their visits to Washington, Chicago and New York the participants had a chance to learn about contemporary Jewish life in the United States and Polish-Jewish relations. Polish delegation met, among others, with David Harris, Executive Director of AJC; Daniel Fried, Special Envoy on Guantanamo, as well as, Poland's Ambassador to US, Robert Kupiecki. The program included also the Holocaust Museum in Washington, a visit to the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York and sightseeing of the Polish district in Chicago. |
