During their study trip to Poland in the beginning of December, a group of thirteen Jewish leaders from the United States, Australia and Israel met with Polish middle school students who participated in the Forum’s School of Dialogue program in Ulanow. The students from a former shtetl in Podkarpackie region guided their international guests, showing them Ulanow’s Jewish sites that they had discovered during the School of Dialogue program this past spring. Apart from the trip to Ulanow, the delegation visited also Warsaw, Lublin, Sandomierz, Krakow and Oswiecim. During their week-long stay in Poland, participants had an opportunity to study and discuss Jewish and Polish history and contemporary issues in Poland, as well as, Polish/Jewish relations. They participated in a number of meetings with dignitaries such as the Ambassadors of US and Israel to Poland and experts from various institutions involved in Polish-Jewish dialogue.
