Agence France-Presse (AFP), one of the three largest news agencies in the world, ran a story about the School of Dialogue in Konskie, a small town 80 miles south of Warsaw. As a result, news about the School of Dialogue program and a group of its participants from Konskie has been broadcast throughout Europe and the U.S. The reporter accompanied the students in their journey through the town’s forgotten heritage searching for traces of the Jewish life that once existed in Konskie. They re-discovered the history and learned about the huge impact that Jewish community used to have on Konskie’s cultural and economical growth. One of students explains: "We lived in a world of stereotypes. Today, we opened a door to another world. We discovered books that had been hidden from us.
