Andrzej Folwarczny - President

The founder and the President of the Forum for Dialogue Among Nations Foundation, ex-member of the Polish Parliament (the Sejm) from the Freedom Union (Unia Wolności), the chairman of the Polish-Israeli Parliamentary Group. Co-editor of the book Difficult Questions in Polish-Jewish Dialogue (published in 2006). Between 1999 and 2004, Vice-President of the Israel-Poland Friendship Association (Towarzystwo Przyjaźni Polsko-Izraelskiej).

 

 

 

 

 

Michał Bilewicz - Vice-President
PhD in Social Psychology. Fulbright Scholar and a visiting scholar at the Oxford Center for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. Former editor-in-chief of the young Polish Jews magazine, Jidełe, and a journalist of the Słowo Żydowskie ("Jewish Word") newspaper. A member of the Krytyka Polityczna ("Political Critique") magazine editorial office. Coordinator of the Center for Research on Prejudice at the University of Warsaw. Co-editor of the book Difficult Questions in Polish-Jewish Dialogue (published in 2006) and Jews and Communism (published in 2000). His research focuses on issues of prejudice, group conflict, anti-Semitism, and dehumanization.

 

 

 

 

Zuzanna Radzik - Member of the Board
Graduate of Theology at the Bobolanum Theological Faculty in Warsaw, currently she is studying Religious Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her controversial article, "The Cellars are Still Rotting," led to the closing down of an anti-Semitic bookshop, "Antyk." She is a member of the Polish Council of Christians and Jews. She writes for the Midrasz, Przegląd Powszechny, Więź (The Bond), and Tygodnik Powszechny magazines.

 

 

 

 

Agnieszka Markiewicz – Program Director

Sociologist, studied at the Georgetown University and at the University of Warsaw, where she obtained an MA for the thesis The Complex Identity of Poles with Jewish Origins.
She co-organised the Gniezno Convention, which was the biggest meeting of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in Poland. Previously she worked at the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as the secretary of the "Polish Year in Israel" project.

 

 

 

 

Jakub Petelewicz - Educational Expert
Historian active in research on Holocaust and Polish-Jewish relationships. Fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington and Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem. Author of articles about the Holocaust of Polish Jewry; co-author of "Sources for Holocaust Research in Poland: Archival and Bibliographical Guide" as well as "Selection of Sources for Teaching about the Holocaust in Poland for High-Schools". Mr. Petelewicz is the co-founder, member and academic secretary of the Polish Center for Holocaust Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences, and is the managing editor of "Zaglada Zydow. Studia i Materialy" ("Holocaust Studies and Materials"). He was one of the authors of the initial concept of the Holocaust Gallery in the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mateusz Hladki - Coordinator of the  Educational Project.
Student of Ethnology Department at the Warsaw University, before joining the Forum, Mateusz was a board member of Amnesty International Poland.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monika Kozun - Assistant
Graduate of international relations and interdisciplinary post-graduate studies „ Global Development".  She has been involved with Foundation Humanity in Action Poland, supporting  summer human and minority rights' programs and coordinating the study visit of Assumpta Mugiraneza to Poland "Lessons from Rwanda genocide".  Within the HIA Grassroot Activism Fellowship she interned at the Jewish Community Relations Council in San Francisco, USA.
